Hosting in Ethiopia

Deploy from GitHub. Pay in Birr.

EthioDeploy started in Ethiopia because getting a project online here usually meant a server, a hand-written config, and an international card that might get declined. Push to GitHub, get a live URL, and pay by local bank transfer.

Last updated September 29, 2026

How it works

  1. Sign in with GitHub and install the EthioDeploy app on your repo.
  2. Pick the repo. We detect your stack and build it. No Dockerfile, no YAML. See the guides for Next.js, Node.js, Python and SvelteKit.
  3. Your app is live at <project>.ethiodeploy.com, and redeploys on every push.

The Free plan needs no payment at all. Upgrade when you need an always-on app, custom domains, or more storage.

Paying in Birr

  1. Choose Ethiopian Birr on the pricing page or in Settings, Billing.
  2. Transfer the plan price to the settlement account shown at checkout.
  3. Enter the bank and your transfer reference number. We verify it against the bank automatically, usually within seconds. If it takes longer, the page keeps checking and updates by itself.

A reference number can only be used once, and the amount has to cover the price. Each payment covers a 30-day period. Bank-transfer plans do not renew on their own, so pay again before the date shown in Settings. See Billing for the details.

Questions

Can I pay for hosting without an international card?

Yes. Pay in Ethiopian Birr by bank transfer. You send the amount, enter the bank and your reference number, and we verify the transfer automatically, usually within seconds. Card payments in USD also work if you prefer them.

Which banks and mobile money can I use?

Telebirr is supported for verification. Availability of individual banks can change, and the checkout shows which options are working when you pay.

Does a bank-transfer plan renew automatically?

No. Each payment covers one 30-day period. Pay again before the renewal date shown in Settings, Billing. There is a 2-day grace period after it passes, and then the account moves back to the Free plan.

Can I buy a domain in Birr too?

Yes. Domains can be paid for by bank transfer in Birr for one year. Bank-transfer domains do not renew automatically, so note the expiry date, or pay by card if you want automatic renewal.

Ready to try it? Start on the Free plan, no payment needed.
