Most people looking for Replit alternatives hit one of three things. The free Starter plan publishes one app, and its link goes down automatically after 30 days. Keeping an app online costs credits: Core is $20 a month, and the smallest always-on Reserved VM is $15 a month of those credits, which leaves $5 for Agent and everything else. And Agent bills by the effort of each request, so a month of building is hard to predict, and usage can take up to 30 minutes to show on the dashboard.
Replit is still one of the quickest ways from a prompt to a running app. The editor, Agent, database and publishing sit in one browser tab, and the code can be pushed to GitHub at any time.
Below are five Replit alternatives: three that host an app you already have, two that build one from prompts, what each costs, and who should stay on Replit.

Replit is a browser workspace where you build with Replit Agent or by hand, then publish. The plans are Starter (free), Core at $20 a month ($18 billed yearly) and Pro at $100 a month ($90 yearly). Each includes credits that pay for Agent, publishing and databases, and use beyond the credits is billed. Publishing is Autoscale ($2 a month base, plus $0.60 per million compute units and $0.40 per million requests), Reserved VMs from $15 a month for 0.5 vCPU and 2 GB, Scheduled jobs, or free static hosting at $0.05 per GB transferred. Production databases run on Neon and bill per active hour and per GiB stored. All published apps are hosted in the United States; EU hosting is an Enterprise option.

EthioDeploy builds your GitHub repo into a container on every push, so an app pushed from Replit's Git pane deploys from there. It detects Node.js, Python, Go, Ruby, PHP and static sites, or builds your Dockerfile. Every plan includes a managed Postgres, MySQL or Redis addon, and each project has an AI coding agent that edits and runs your code in a sandbox, then opens a pull request.
Free runs 1 project (256 MB, sleeps after 30 minutes idle) with a 512 MB database. Pro is $10/month: always on, 1 GB per container, a 5 GB database and custom domains. Business is $30/month: 2 GB per container, a 20 GB database and 5 team seats. Agent plans are separate: $5, $20 or $50 a month of credit, or pay as you go from a wallet.
Lovable builds React web apps from chat and hosts them. Lovable Cloud adds a database, auth and storage built on Supabase's open-source foundation, and every plan can sync the code to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
Free gives 5 build credits a day (up to 30 a month) plus 20 Cloud credits a month. Pro is $25/month or $250/year with 100 credits; Business is $50/month or $500/year. Hosting and Lovable Cloud are covered by each plan's Cloud grant, and usage beyond it is billed in credits.
Bolt.new builds full-stack web apps in the browser from prompts and publishes them to Bolt Cloud on a .bolt.host address. Bolt Cloud includes databases, auth, file storage, server functions and Stripe, and Netlify is an optional place to publish instead.
Free gives 1M tokens a month (300K a day) and hosting up to 10 GB of bandwidth and 333,333 requests a month. Pro is $25/month with at least 10M tokens, which roll over for up to two months, plus custom domains and hosting up to 30 GB and 1M requests. Teams is $30 per member per month.
Render deploys a GitHub repo or a Dockerfile as web services, background workers, cron jobs and private services, at a fixed price per instance size, with managed Postgres and Key Value. It has no agent that builds the app, so it suits code you already have.
Free web services spin down after 15 minutes idle, with 750 instance hours a month per workspace. Always-on services are $7/month for 512 MB and $25 for 2 GB. Postgres starts at $6/month with 1 GB of storage, and free Postgres expires 30 days after creation. The Hobby workspace is free and Pro is $25/month, plus compute on both.
Railway deploys from GitHub, the CLI, a Docker image or a template, and bills per minute for the RAM and CPU each service uses. Databases are templates on the same project canvas as the app.
Free gives $1 of credit a month with services capped at 0.5 GB. Hobby is $5/month including $5 of usage; Pro is $20/month including $20. RAM is $10 per GB-month and CPU $20 per vCPU-month, so 0.5 GB running all month is about $5 in RAM before CPU. Builds are not charged.
Push to GitHub from Replit's Git pane and deploy that repo. Pro at $10 a month keeps a 1 GB app and a 5 GB database running, where a Reserved VM alone uses $15 of Replit's credits.
Lovable builds and hosts the app from chat, syncs the code to Git on every plan, and its Cloud backend covers the database and auth.
Each is its own service type at a published price, an always-on service starts at $7, and Postgres at $6.
None of these alternatives pairs a full browser IDE with an agent and one-click publishing the way Replit does. If that loop matters more than the hosting bill, Replit is still the better fit.
The Starter plan is free. It includes daily Agent credits up to a monthly cap and one published app, whose link goes down automatically after 30 days. More published apps need Core ($20 a month) or Pro ($100 a month).
Plans include credits that pay for Agent, publishing and databases, and use beyond them is billed. An always-on Reserved VM starts at $15 a month, and Agent bills by the effort of each request, so heavy building plus an always-on app can pass the plan's credits. Budget limits in billing settings act as hard caps.
EthioDeploy Pro at $10 a month includes an always-on 1 GB app and a 5 GB database. Render's cheapest always-on service is $7 for 512 MB, plus $6 for Postgres. Railway's Hobby plan is $5 a month including $5 of usage.
Lovable and Bolt both build web apps from prompts and host them, priced in credits (Lovable, from $25 a month) or tokens (Bolt, from $25 a month), and both have free plans. EthioDeploy's agent works on an existing GitHub repo and opens a pull request, from $5 a month.
Yes. Replit's Git pane connects a GitHub repository and pushes to it with one click. Any host that deploys from GitHub can then build it.
Push it to GitHub from Replit, create a project from that repo, and add your env vars. Most apps also need the server to listen on the PORT variable. Apps that use Replit Auth or App Storage need those replaced; the Deploy a Replit app guide covers each step.
